The Speedmaster rigid bands feature band linings with carbon fiber friction material for higher coefficient of friction for higher torque capacity and the ability to produce quicker, more positive band engagement. The anchor area on these bands is extra thick, heat-treated, high-carbon steel construction to eliminate the stretching and breakage often associated with stock bands. The carbon fiber material provides a higher coefficient of friction, combined with the 2.125 in. wide band for more engagement surface area.
